Manager, Finance & Operations

Audience Republic helps events sell more tickets. We've recently experienced some massive growth around virtual events.


Our customers are some of the largest (physical & virtual) events in the world — featuring artists like Justin Bieber, Post Malone, Elton John, RUFUS DU SOL, ODESZA, Flume, Marshmello.


We are fast growing technology startup in B2B SaaS, and have raised $3.3M from investors. Our team is based across Sydney, Los Angeles, London and Taiwan.


🔥 What will you do?


Finance

  • Accounts - responsible for managing our financial accounts and book keeping across our parent entity and subsidiaries
  • Tax - responsible for managing our tax across our parent entity and subsidiaries, ensuring we are complaint with all laws
  • Grants - proactively sourcing government grants, and successfully securing government grant funding
  • Accounts Receivable - ensure that receivables are collected as quickly as possible
  • Accounts Payable - ensure that payables are paid on time
  • Metrics - Provide deep working insights into key operating metrics
  • Budgeting - collaborating with management & departments on budget setting, ensuring set budgets are adhered to


People Operations

  • Payroll - oversee our payroll process, systems & day to day management
  • Performance Reviews - manage our annual performance review process, ensuring performance reviews completed by managers with their direct reports according to our process
  • Monthly 1/1's - ensure managers are conducting & documenting their monthly one on ones with their direct reports, and aggregate feedback for management
  • Prepare weekly & monthly team updates to the company on progress against our goals, highlights, challenges and other key updates, as well as other ad-hoc internal communications where required
  • On-boarding / De-boarding - ensuring candidates are on-boarded smoothly and effectively, as well as managing the de-boarding process when team members leave the company
  • Travel & accommodation - booking travel & accommodation for team members


Talent Acquisition

  • Recruiting Candidates - proactively reaching out to passive candidates, listing job ads, writing job descriptions & advertising positions
  • Talent Pools - building pools of candidates for key roles that we're looking to fill & building relationships over time


Legal

  • Contracts - ensuring appropriate contracts are in place and filed appropriately
  • Privacy - ensure our record keeping and data processing procedures comply with privacy laws and government regulations in all jurisdictions that we are required to adhere to

    Requirements

    • Has SUPER HUMAN level attention to detail
    • Experienced with bookkeeping, payroll & tax for a small business (ideally between 30-50 people)
    • Has a can do attitude & gets things done
    • Self directed learner & able to pick things up quickly
    • Able to use software tools (e.g. Zapier, AskNicely, Grow.com, Xero) to automate repetitive tasks
    • Startup experience / SaaS experience is a massive bonus (but not required)
